Before we started Life Beyond School in 2024, we grew and successfully exited another company in the technology and media space. With that experience in our pocket, fueled by our entrepreneurial spirit and a recognition that social-emotional skills are essential for every age, Life Beyond School was born.
Our Why
Angie, a mother and broadcast journalist for over 20 years, frequently interviewed successful leaders throughout her career. When asked what made them successful, the answer was never about being the most skilled or having the most knowledge, but rather having the right character skills: resilience, creativity, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and self-awareness.
For Sarah, these skills have been particularly relevant as a serial entrepreneur the past 10 years, working with small, ambitious teams with big ideas, all around the world.

Our Mission
Building foundational skills is hard work, and it's even harder for busy families.
Our mission is to simplify this for parents and their children: We've created bite-sized activities based on thousands of hours of research. All our materials are co-developed with educators, researchers, and child psychologists.
We've taken the guesswork out of how to create experiences and family dynamics that cultivate a growth mindset and build emotionally resilient children.
By encouraging character skills to grow naturally, we're preparing children for life beyond school—one day at a time.
